Resolution No. 20600

Resolution No. 20600 made it official. The city of Phoenix began encouraging Phoenix retailers to get on the take back wagon as it relates to plastic bags. This voluntary recycling program is targeted at local retailers who provide plastic bags for their customers.

These retailers are now encouraged to except those bags back through Bag Central Station bins located in stores. To kick the resolution off, The Public Works Department distributed 30,000 canvas bags to shoppers across the valley.
